Overview

Viridian Exchange was started to solve the problems with inefficiencies in the luxury asset market, ranging from counterfeits, long shipping times, and a lack of liquidity. Our main goal was to remove the friction of intermediaries of physical asset exchange, and expand the global UX possibilities of real, tangible items. Each physical asset that was managed by Viridian was stored in our 24/7 monitored, fireproof facility in Miami, FL, and then scanned and rendered into a 3D digital asset, and minted as an NFT to the owners wallet for digital exchange.

Non-Technical

As Viridian’s CEO, I led the fundraising of $250k from On Deck X, Third Web Capital, and numerous angel investors. I also scaled the team to 7+ leading 3 engineers and a small marketing team, and focused on product / growth while we scaled our AUM to over $500k within 3 months of launching our closed beta. After our basic MVP was built, I spent more time away from the technical / design side to focus on the business.

Frontend Work

  • Designed initial UI/UX for web app
  • Built entire onboarding flow for new users including profile creation, social network integrations (instagram, twitter, youtube), and automated avatar generation
  • Integrated social and profile features including likes, following, followers, and nesting friend data
  • Overhauled smart contract event handling for transaction continuity in UI

Backend Work

  • Assisted in smart contract development for NFT minting, pack opening, tokenomics
  • Data models for storing and loading user data / DB infrastructure
  • Worked on AWS infrastructure
    • DynamoDB (NoSQL DB)
    • Lambda endpoint & logic design
    • API gateway management
    • S3 for NFT image data
  • NodeJS API design and implementation for uploading new cards and image data to S3
  • Maintained webhooks that ingested transaction data in real-time for real-time app analytics (PostHog / Google Analytics)
